Visual-kei Band VIVARUSH to Perform Tasuketsu TV Anime’s Opening Theme Song

The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Taiga Miyakawa’s manga series Tasuketsu has announced that the Japanese visual-kei band VIVARUSH will be providing the opening theme song for the show. The band, which was formed in 2016, has gained a following for their unique blend of rock and electronic elements. This will be their first anime theme song collaboration.

The announcement was made on the official Tasuketsu anime website and on VIVARUSH’s social media accounts. The band members are expected to make an appearance at the stage event for the anime, which will take place in AnimeJapan 2024 on March 24.

Tasuketsu is a psychological suspense/battle action manga that follows a group of boys and girls who are caught up in “Tasuketsu,” a harsh game of survival where the majority is lost. The story takes place in a world where a mysterious entity known as the Emperor hosts the game, and the players must confront him and determine their own fate.

The manga series has been serialized in ComicSmart’s GANMA! digital manga magazine since 2013, and the latest sixth tankobon volume is set to release in Japan on March 15. The TV anime adaptation, written and directed by Tatsuo Sato (Martian Successor Nadesico), is scheduled to premiere in 2024.

A teaser trailer for the anime has been released, giving a glimpse into the dark and intense world of Tasuketsu. The trailer features a mix of action-packed scenes and eerie atmospheric shots, set to a pulsating soundtrack that matches the manga’s fast-paced and suspenseful tone.

Overall, the collaboration between VIVARUSH and Tasuketsu promises to be an exciting and fitting match, bringing the manga’s unique blend of psychological thrills and battle action to life in a new and innovative way.
