The series follows the story of Jeon Soo-in (played by Jeon So-nee), a woman who is attacked by a Parasyte but manages to maintain control over her brain. Koo Kyo-hwan plays Solu Gang-woo, a man searching for his missing sister, while Lee Jung-hyun takes on the role of Choi Jun-kyung, whose husband was killed by a Parasyte and who now leads “The Grey,” a special unit tasked with combating these extraterrestrial creatures.
For those unfamiliar with the source material, “Parasyte” follows the story of high school student Shinichi Izumi, who finds himself caught in the middle of a war between humans and Parasites after an alien parasite takes up residence in his right hand. With the help of his symbiotic partner Migi, Shinichi must navigate this dangerous new world and uncover the secrets behind the Parasytes’ arrival on Earth.
