Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyuu Symphony, the 43rd installment of the beloved children’s anime film series based on Fujiko Fujio’s original manga, has released a special video clip from the movie and announced two new cast additions. Aoi Yuki will play dual roles as Paroparo, a large dog, and the music teacher at Nobita’s school, while musician Amatsuki will play two roles as a cat and a radio DJ. Directed by Kazuaki Imai and written by Teruko Utsumi, the film follows the theme of “music” and tells the story of Nobita, Doraemon, and their friends meeting and befriending Mikka, a girl from Planet Musica, and using music to communicate on a great adventure to save Planet Earth from a crisis.

Gintama Anime’s Courtesan of a Nation Arc Compilation Film Gets Release Date

Bandai Namco Pictures has just opened an official website for the upcoming new compilation film from the Gintama anime franchise, titled “Gintama on Theater 2D Ikkoku Keisei-hen.” The main visual for the film was also revealed, featuring the iconic characters of the series in a dramatic pose.

The film is based on the Courtesan of a Nation Arc from the TV anime’s 257th to 261st episodes, and will screen at Japanese theaters for a limited time of three weeks from June 21, 2024. In addition to the main film, there will also be extra footage and the sale of merchandise using newly illustrated designs. Theatregoers will also receive bonus items.

This new compilation film is part of the project to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the serialization of Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama manga and the broadcast of its TV anime adaptation. The first compilation film, “Gintama on Theater 2D: Baragaki-hen,” screened at theaters in Japan for a limited time from November 10, 2023, and ranked in the top 10 on the weekend box office ranking in its first weekend.

WcDonald’s Episode 2 Anime Short from Studio Pierrot Features City Pop Love

The second episode of the WcDonald’s anime shorts has been released today, continuing the series from Studio Pierrot (Naruto, Black Clover). Titled “Love From Across The Booth,” the episode features aesthetics similar to Sailor Moon and the City Pop music genre. Four anime shorts will be released over four weeks, with a simultaneous manga chapter available on WcDonalds.com. Each episode will focus on a different genre, including Action, Romance, Mecha, and Fantasy. The next Mecha short is set to release on March 11th. In addition to the anime campaign, a themed restaurant experience inspired by the Isekai genre will launch in Los Angeles from March 9-10th. Artist Acky Bright has also designed custom bags for the promotion, and an exclusive Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce will be available for a limited time.

According to Kogyo Tsushin, the film passed this milestone on March 3rd, with a total of 3.59 million tickets sold. This is a remarkable achievement, considering that it took other popular films such as Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween, Code Blue, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker several days longer to reach this milestone.

Haikyu!! FINAL’s first anime film has proven to be a box office success, with the film repeating its number one position in its second weekend. Toho Animation is credited with producing the two Haikyu!! FINAL anime films, with the animation being handled by Production I.G., led by director Susumu Mitsunaka and screenwriter Takahiro Kishida. The first film, subtitled “Gomisuteba no Kessen,” was released in Japan on February 16th, 2024, with no date announced for the second film.
