Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest TV Anime Announces July 2024 Premiere
It’s finally here! The highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is set to premiere in Japan in July 2024. As a fan of the original manga series, I couldn’t be more excited to see the beloved characters of Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and Wendy return to the small screen.
The anime’s teaser trailer and five teaser visuals featuring the main characters have been revealed, and let me tell you, it looks absolutely incredible. The animation is top-notch, and the voice cast members are all returning, which is a dream come true for fans like me who have grown to love these characters over the years.
As a quick reminder, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is written and storyboarded by the original creator Hiro Mashima himself, and it’s been serialized as a sequel to the manga on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga app since July 2018. The latest 17th tankobon volume is set to release in Japan on April 9, and Kodansha USA releases the series in English for all you non-Japanese speakers out there.
According to the publisher’s description, the series follows Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and Wendy as they take on the “100 Years Quest” – a job no one’s dared to take on since the founding of the Fairy Tail Guild over a century ago. Sounds like quite the adventure, if you ask me!
The main voice cast members are all returning, and let me tell you, they bring these characters to life in such a way that it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing them. Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu, Aya Hirano as Lucy, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Yuichi Nakamura as Gray, Sayaka Ohara as Erza, and Satomi Sato as Wendy – they’re all on board for this latest adventure.
The main staff includes General Director Shinji Ishihira, Director Toshinori Watanabe, Series Composition Atsuhiro Tomioka, Character Design Yurika Sako, Sound Director Shoji Hata, and Music by Yasuharu Takanashi. Animation Production is being handled by J.C.STAFF, who have proven their worth with other notable anime series in the past.
In conclusion, I can’t wait for Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest to premiere later this year. It’s going to be a wild ride, and I have no doubt it will live up to the hype surrounding it. Bring on the adventure!
