The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases, an upcoming TV anime based on the popular fantasy light novels, has announced the ending theme song performer and released a new trailer. Aimi will be performing the ending theme song “Meritocracy,” which is also the voice actress for Mylene in the series. The anime will begin broadcasting in Japan on April 1, 2024.

The original light novels were written by Shin Kouduki and illustrated by Chocoan, and were published in Japan by TO Books under their TO Bunko imprint. An English language version is available from J-Novel Club. The anime adaptation is directed by Kazuomi Koga at animation studios Studio Deen and Marvy Jack.
