Viral Hit Anime Punches in April 10 Premiere, New Visual and Trailer

The highly anticipated anime adaptation of the webtoon Viral Hit is set to premiere in Japan on April 10 at 24:55 JST (effectively April 11 at 0:55). The trailer released today not only gives us a glimpse into the action-packed world of the series but also previews the opening and ending theme songs.

The main cast includes Kota Shimura voiced by Satoshi Niwa (Haraol in Helck), Toru “Kanegon” Kaneko voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto (Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist), Aki Yashio voiced by Fairouz Ai (Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean), Kaho Asamiya voiced by Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackermann in Attack on Titan), Hamaken voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi (Makoto Suzuki in Tokyo Revengers), Reo Shinjo voiced by Kaito Ishikawa (Tenya Iida in My Hero Academia), Rumi Meguro voiced by Yoshino Aoyama (Hitori Gotoh in BOCCHI THE ROCK!), Tatsuya Ogi voiced by Yuichi Nakamura (Karamatsu in Mr. Osomatsu), TOU-KEI voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Apocalypse in Undead Unluck), and RELATED: Viral Hit Anime Adaptation Tags in Nine Cast Members.

The series is directed by Masakazu Hishida at studio Okuruto Noboru, with series composer Toshiya Ono, character designer Satomi Miyazaki (Attack on Titan animation director), and music composer Yutaka Yamada (Tokyo Ghoul). Crunchyroll will simulcast the anime as it airs in Japan.

Viral Hit originally premiered on the WEBTOON platform in November 2019 in Korean, and English in October 2020. The series follows the story of Hobin Yu, a scrawny high school student who becomes a star of a NewTube channel after following some advice from a mysterious channel. Can Hobin keep this up, or will he eventually meet his match?
