Seiyu Radio no Ura Omote Anime Unveils New Trailer and Cast Members
Seiyu Radio no Ura Omote, the upcoming TV anime based on the light novel series, has revealed two new cast members and a key visual. The series is set to broadcast in Japan starting April 10, 2024.
The two new cast members are:
* Otome Sakuranamiki, voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa (Übel in Freiren: Beyond Journey’s End)
* Mikuru Yubisaki, voiced by Nao Toyama (Rin Shima in Laid-Back Camp)
The original Seiyu Radio no Ura Omote light novels are written by Ko Nigatsu, illustrated by Saba Mizore, and published in Japan by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. The TV anime adaptation is directed by Hideki Tachibana at animation studio CONNECT, with Keiichiro Ochi providing the character designs and serving as chief animation director. The music is composed by Keichi Hirokawa and Kuniyuki Takahashi of MONACA.
The story of Seiyu Radio no Ura Omote follows two young voice actresses who are also classmates in high school. Yumiko Sato, working under the stage name Yasumi Utatane, is chosen to be a personality for a radio show. Her partner is Yuhi Yugure, who is also her classmate Chika Watanabe. The two have incompatible personalities and clash whenever they open their mouths, but as they work together in radio, anime, and events, they become intensely aware of each other as rivals.
The key visual for the series features the two main characters, Yumiko and Yuhi, with their contrasting personalities evident in their facial expressions and poses. The image captures the playful and lighthearted tone of the series, while also hinting at the rivalry and tension that will drive the story forward.
