Boukyaku Battery TV Anime Reveals OP / ED Theme Song Performers

Boukyaku Battery, the upcoming TV anime based on the popular sports manga, has announced the talented performers for its opening and ending theme songs. Mrs. GREEN APPLE will be singing the energetic opening theme “Lilac,” while Macaroni Empitsu will provide the hauntingly beautiful ending theme “Wasurena Uta” (Forgotten Song). The anime is set to premiere in Japan in April 2024, directed by Masato Nakasono at animation studio MAPPA.

The manga, written and illustrated by Eko Mikawa, follows the story of Haruka Kiyomine and Kei Kaname, two middle school baseball players who form an unstoppable pitcher/catcher battery. However, when Kei suffers from amnesia and his athletic skills revert to a rank amateur, they enroll in an ordinary high school in Tokyo instead of attending an elite sports school.

With the anime adaptation directed by Nakasono and character designs provided by Hitomi Hasegawa, the story is sure to come alive on screen. The talented performers for the opening and ending themes add an extra layer of excitement to the already anticipated anime.
